Secure Onboard Storage System

Keep your tools and accessories secure and easily accessible. Most of the storage capacity is inside the frame. The fence can be removed and stored underneath the table. Unlike some other models, Bosch designed the storage to be more secure, so the items won’t fall out. There are also two Allen wrenches attached so you should be able to make saw adjustments with an Allen wrench, you won’t need to scavenge for one.

Easy Clip Frame Insert

The table insert clips in and out easily, and it’s wide enough to accommodate a dado stack. And, of course, the arbor is also wide enough for a dado stack, too. The table insert is also adjustable.

Sliding Fence System

A single lever releases the fence for an easy and smooth sliding adjustment. There’s an adjustable scale indicator that works up to about 3/8 of an inch. There’s also a telescopic sliding mechanism that allows you to extend the fence beyond the tabletop surface. The rip fence is able to maintain perfect square alignment without having to fuss over it endlessly. It is stiff, but that’s to be expected if you want to keep things square.

Smooth Operator

The powerful motor and 10” blade make this a top contender on site for all-day and demanding use. It’ll cut through just about anything you throw at it, and it’ll feel as smooth as butter.

Versatile

With an 18-inch right side rip capacity, you can take on larger pieces without sacrificing quality or precision. Plus, the 5,000 RPM no-load motor ensures you’ve got plenty of speed to get the job done. Get the job done faster and go home early or grab a beer with the crew.

All-Steel Base Design

Limited plastic means more durability, and it still manages to remain relatively lightweight (though substantially heavier than plastic-based models). The higher percentage of metal parts contributes to the weight, but often saws at this price point sub out anything metal with plastic, giving the saw assembly a cheaper feel. If you want pro-style quality, you’ll get that (along with a few extra pounds) with Bosch.

Compact Portability

To make this unit easier to move to and from job sites, Bosch added an ergonomic soft-grip handle that’s situated in the middle. As long as you can lift more than 50 pounds, you’ll be able to transport this saw with no issues. It packs down small, and though it’s still dense and little cumbersome, you should be able to move it without assistance or too much trouble. There’s also dual-side handles, so you can load it into a truck bed or set it on a stand with relative ease.

Verdict

The Bosch name is synonymous with quality and advanced engineering, and this table saw offering is no exception. When compared side by side to the DeWalt DWE745 it gains a slight edge because of its dado capability.

With this piece of equipment, you can toss it around without worrying about losing tools or doing undue damage. It’s great for a crew or someone who’s looking for something low maintenance.

It’s not exactly lightweight, but it makes up for those few extra pounds with its durability. Even a pro can’t help but admit how compatible this is for job site use. Keep in mind that at the end of the day, this is a jobsite saw. It’s not exactly made for building intricate, fine furnishings.

If you want something that feels high-quality, you’ll appreciate the attention to detail and the fact that Bosch minimized the plastic components to add metal without weighing down the unit.
